Let it Snow
Flakes of beauty and castles of glass,
Trees caked with pristine powder
And the cold white blanket beneath -
Testify to the great inner turmoil
Plaguing the winter soul.
Like royalty is the world around
Elegant in its chaos, and
Gracefully fierce,
With stunning beauty in every crevice,
The leaves hosting seasonal guests;
Icicles possessing clarity of the highest order.
As the chilling cold washes over
Winter souls basking in
Worlds that arrive once a year,
Trudge through the falling snow and
Watch — as nature paves a path of her own.
Fate, do they welcome in
With a silent chuckle,
To believe everything happens for a reason -
And bid their time for
When acceptance shall embrace,
Their anxious winter souls.
So — let it snow,
let it snow,
let it snow.
Thoughtfully yours,
D
